Okay, I finally had some time to come back and add comments about Thanksgiving, instead of just leaving it with photos and videos. We had crock pot turkey, (no bones) creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and jello salad. I'm not big on killing myself in the kitchen just for food. Ratatouille is fun to watch, but I'm not one that really gets the whole love for cooking. So any shortcuts I can find, I'll take 'em! We did the usual putting up our Christmas tree... ours is more like three little trees. At first it looked like I could get away with having the larger one set up on the floor, but decided Aidan would be much safer if I just kept it out of reach. So they are all on top of the TV stand. :) Since both boys had colds again, I stayed home with them, and Lincoln went over to his parent's place for a couple hours so he could visit with his extended family. Wish I could just drop over at my parent's house!!! (Yes, there's some serious jealousy.) Later that evening we went to see lights in IF, in a neighborhood that does them every year... "candy cane lane," as the sign says.
When I think of the things we are grateful for, this year in particular, Mom and Dad always come to mind first. They've been so supportive, loving, and helpful. Even though they don't live close to us, Aidan talks about them all the time. He knows Grandma & Grandpa Weber love him. Then, of course, a huge one is Lincoln's baptism. That was a huge thing, and we are so grateful it was possible in the first place. Aidan was freaked by it, but I think it's cool that he will probably remember it. Jacen's safe arrival is another huge one. There were days I was truly scared I'd lose him before he was born. I'm so grateful my pleas were answered in the affirmative on that one! He is so perfect!!! We are grateful Aidan is his big brother. What a sweet, "fiery" spirit we have! He's so precious, and already very protective of his "baby Jacen."
