Let's go fly a kite!

Sorry it's been so long since I posted. The move was very exhausting, took me two days to recover, and now we are already looking for a different place. The heater is using propane at an insane rate, and doesn't even heat more than two rooms. Three bedrooms out of the four are ice cold at night. As you can imagine, this doesn't work very well with a toddler and baby. Nor for a pregnant woman. To make it worse, the owner insists we are making the whole thing up and refuses to fix it. So we haven't really unpacked, or hooked up the stove, and are looking for a new place with a rational owner! Aidan said his first prayer, totally on his own, without any prompting from us, and it was asking Heavenly Father to keep him warm in the house. This was the second night, after he cried, when he could see we were driving back to the white house and not the loft he calls, "up stairs." He still keeps asking to go back, "up stairs."

The weather was gorgeous today. We took the boys to a kite festival at Sandy Downs earlier in the day, and then purchased a $1 kite at walmart to take to the park and fly ourselves. Aidan normally doesn't fall like this... the ground was covered with craters and hills. So focusing on the kite, he fell several times. Dad's foot got in the way too. :) Then we did the usual stuff at the park, playing on slides and swings.

Jacen's face is showing his efforts to walk and stand without holding on to things. He always hits it in the same spot! So rather than healing, it just keeps getting worse. This actually looks much better than yesterday though. It was still swollen then. He's still happy, in spite of the injuries. A friend of mine watched Aidan and Jacen while I went to the doctor yesterday, and she loved holding him. Jacen even went crawling back to her to give her loves for being so good to him. :) He's a little charmer!

How cute is this?! Watch Aidan closely...
