The last trimester, normally, I wouldn't dream of taking the boys to the park without their Dad's help. Since I'm getting some sleep now, instead of getting more housework done, or unpacking done, with the energy I do have... I've been taking the boys out and about. There is a park near Lincoln's work that is owned and maintained by the church. They have perfect slides and swings for toddlers.
Jace sure enjoyed the swing. He laughed so much I thought the lunch he'd just finished would come back up. It's low enough to the ground that when he leapt out, it didn't hurt. Fearless boy.
If he'd managed to get to the top just a second faster, he'd have gone down on his own too. Scary! I like this slide because it's plenty wide for me to take Jacen down in front of me, keeping him from falling or cracking his head on the end.
Aidan loves slides more than swings. He kept going up and down long after I walked away to put Jacen in his car seat. Then suddenly I heard, "Mommy! Where are you?"
Sorry about the crazy aiming. My new phone flips open to the side for an extra texting keypad. I'm not used to taking photos with the new aiming technique needed. I can't keep Jacen from standing in the top of the cart, even when he's "strapped in." So he's down in the bigger part with Aidan these days and he loves being with his big brother. Aidan tolerates it.
