ER visit

This is Aidan asking me to "PLEASE! Cut it off!" He also has his new Cars blimp that Daddy purchased for him after the whole episode. I personally didn't think of getting him a gift, but maybe Daddy felt Aidan was particularly brave or something. :)

We were shopping at Wal-mart. I was getting something on the list in a different part of the store, when Lincoln stopped the cart too abruptly. Aidan fell out of the cart, hitting the back of his head pretty darn hard on the cement floor. The Wal-mart associate that saw it offered a cookie from the bakery. Of course, Aidan wasn't interested in cookies, his head was throbbing with pain. He didn't show any signs of concussion to us, but we called the pediatricians office anyway. They said to take him to the ER. We were pretty sure he was fine, but figured we'd better be sure. So off to the hospital Aidan and Daddy went, with the possibility of a CT scan looming. The doctor said it "would shock you" how many kids are taken to the ER every month for falling out of shopping carts. I guess this didn't make Lincoln feel any better. :) Aidan's totally fine, other than the whopping headache. He asked for a Band aid, but I rubbed Burt's Bees Baby Bee All Better Balm on his injury and gave him some Tylenol, instead.

Daddy says from now on Aidan must ride sitting down or walk, helping push the cart. After this, I really don't think we will have a problem getting Aidan to cooperate with that one.
