I was really hungry, actually had the ingredients for this recipe on hand (that's like the first time EVER) and oddly it sounded good. I love chips and cheese, chips and salsa, nachos... you get the idea. It's also my kind of recipe: less than 5 ingredients and no measuring. It was already noon, and I didn't want to wait the 45
mins for the
crockpot, so I made it on the stove. Her picture is much more appetizing.
It was yummy. But, and a big but here, usually I serve the boys sausage and stay away from it myself. Now I remember why. I got sick. Really sick. Not food poisoning sick, but my body can't handle this kind of food sick. So if you are a sausage lover, this recipe is yummy. If not, stay away, your body won't miss it.

Sorry for the terrible photo quality. I was taking it through two panes of glass, screen, window tint, and probably some frost too. These little guys have been hanging out with us for quite some time. My bird book is packed somewhere, so I can't tell you what they are. But I'm assuming they are pigeons. They have coloring and sound like doves, but I think they are too big and the only doves I've seen stay in couples, not groups. There are two more I couldn't get in the shot, making four pair total. Aidan and
Jacen love to leave bread for them and watch them from the window. I have no idea if they are the birds actually taking the bread. But we like them and hope they stick around. Since we don't have a stupid
Scottie dog, they probably will.
(For those of you other than my parents, I will explain. When I was little there was a jack rabbit that lived in our backyard every winter. I loved him/her... so sweet, and fun to watch. Then the winter after our neighbors got a Scottie dog for their boys, that darn thing decided the jack rabbit would be a great rag to catch. I don't know if he actually caught him, but I sure hated that dog after watching him chase my sweet rabbit up the street. Never saw the rabbit again.)
