More weird news

I was shocked again last night to get a frantic phone call from my OB's office. The results for the test for Factor V Leiden had finally come back and was positive. The Perinatologist was dead on. I've been having blot clots all along, with doctors ignoring the symptoms I was reporting. So I had to rush back to town for the Heparin. It's what's causing the Pre-eclampsia (which they kept telling me was just hypertension, but I've been informed since then it really was Pre-eclampsia) and therefore at least part of the neurological problems for our boys. Makes me want to write a couple letters to my old OBs. Good thing I just plain don't have time to.
Yay, more shots. What happened to their genius invention years ago of needle-less injections????? I'm seeing an awful lot of needles that were supposed to obsolete by now. ;)
**Correction** Issues with the insurance and pharmacy, along with the neurologist telling me, "that's not a big deal," prompted my asking the OB if it was really that necessary to be on Heparin. I was informed that I have another disorder (can't remember the name, sorry) along with the FVL, and that with 2 blood clotting disorders, it was in fact very serious and yes I have to take it. Okay then. I'm grateful I know for the baby's sake, but ignorance really is bliss in some cases... for instance when I'm not pregnant anymore. I'd rather not know I have such a tendency to clot, when I don't have insurance!!!
