We half heartedly took the boys to the airshow. Admittedly, we had so much to get done that we weren't really into it. But didn't want the boys to totally miss it. So we drove up and watched it from the car for about an hour and then came back for more work. It's always fun to hear Jace's "oooo's, aaahhh's, ooooohhhh's, and vvwwweeee's." Brighten any ones days. Until he starts screaming for no apparent reason. :)So most of our Saturday was spent on car fixing, a donation trip, two (yes, we screwed up) trips to Walmart, laundry, dishes, and filling out the enormous paperwork packet from the developmental therapy center that apparently Aidan really does qualify for, simply because he has a seizure disorder... long story short, one of our friends that watches the boys sometimes, works for this center and had her boss contact us... children can qualify regardless of how smart they are, if they have a disorder that significantly disrupts their ability to function normally in society. That certainly describes Aidan!
Even one of Jace's therapists is shocked at how things have fallen into place for us with getting help for the boys. Mindi is the perfect example of such a blessing. We met her shortly after moving back to the area. We only had Aidan then, and she immediately was drawn to him. She would offer to babysit for free (no kidding) just to spend time with him. I thought it was odd at the time, but felt I could trust her. We had no knowledge of her career/schooling choice until a couple of months ago. She has kept a relationship with us and the boys even though we've moved several times. So when I asked Aidan, "Would you like to go visit Mindi where she works?" he immediately said, "Okay!"
