Hideous outfit, I know. But Damon's still adorable. I am desperate for clothes that fit, but he's eating so well, I don't want to go out and buy a bunch of preemie sized clothing. I'd realized, before he was born, that I didn't even really have many newborn sized clothes, and grabbed some cheap sleepers (like the one shown above) to get by. Speaking of preemie... diapers in that size are a total joke for absorbency. Major leaking issues! I had to cut up menstrual pads and shove them in there. Hello, Huggies, get a clue!!! My milk dried up, again, (did with Jace) and now I know for sure after having spent several hours with a lactation consultant that it's not my fault. As soon as we put him on formula, the pretty significant cause of Jaundice went away. They have decided to back off on testing his heart and liver because he's doing so well.

Aidan is pretty sick of his whiny brother. He's also sick of hearing, "I'll do it as soon as I get this done..." in reference to his requests for attention. He even deliberately pooped in his pants twice today. I reminded him about the deal with his roundhouse, and informed him that just one more time would require putting it away until he could prove he'd earned it back. I suspect that will be the end of it. He isn't stupid, and he's not nearly as belligerent as Jace.

Jace is one miserable dude. His throat hurts like he's never experienced before and the medicine is soooo nasty. It makes his stomach jerk. But here he is, getting his first real meal since the surgery. Pureed burrito filling with sour cream. For dessert, oreo filling. He was very slow and careful, but still managed to eat most of it. Which is a relief to me, because he almost passed out just trying to poop the other night. :) Poor little dude!
Hmmmm, two references to poop in one post. Maybe I'd better stop now.
Anyway, we are fine, just really worn out from all the chaos until things settle down into a routine again.
