Hospitals

Damon's evaluation from H&W is back.  He qualifies for Developmental Therapy because his scores were, "very low."  :(  My sweet baby.  His strength is clearly visual perception though, because he scored above normal on that one! :)  So now I will have two boys in the Infant & Toddler Program until Jace turns 3 in August.  Haven't received his OT eval that she ordered in addition, yet.  And though Speech and Physical show severe delays, she can't really order special evals of those until he's a bit older.  So we'll see what happens...
On the bright side, he really is fine.:)  He still shows the potential of reaching regular milestones, just later than normal.  That's what the early intervention is supposed to help with.
I've expressed repeated disgust to Mom about the huge gap between Drs and therapists.  According to Damon's doctors, he's not delayed.  I wish I'd known better with Jace, and Aidan for that matter.  Oh well, I know now, don't I?

Aidan's spent part of yesterday in the hospital in Rexburg for some unknown illness that had him pretty sick.  He's on antibiotics again, and insists it's helping. :)  Poor little man looks horrible.  I'm afraid there's going to be much of that ahead.  He still is so handsome and perfect.

And he turned right around and went to Primary Children's today for his 1st appt with his new neurologist.
All I know so far is that a referral for a Geneticist was given, and that he wants me to remove one of the medications from Aidan's current dosage, until further notice.  He's going to look over the video eeg and then get back to us.  Once I know more from Daddy, I'll share.

A side note here: We had padded the couches metal arms and front, in fear of Jace injuring himself again.... he keeps throwing himself/jerking without regard for his own or others safety in little tizzy fits... or just being careless.  It looks terrible, but it's already saved him twice.  He did a face plant right at the front bar the other day, and then fell off the top head first onto the arm this morning.  Both prompted much screaming in pain, but no serious injury, thank goodness!!!  Would have been trips to the ER for sure, were they not padded.  Wish I could just put him in a bubble like Tigger accidentally put Pooh in. ;)
