One down, two more to go

Back from our first weekend in UT at Primary Children's Hospital... two more weekends of appts this month to go.  Damon's MRI was normal.  This doesn't mean much, because Aidan and Jacen had normal MRIs too.  The anesthesia they chose didn't do it's job alone, so they had to give him another one as well.  The goal originally was to not give him a narcotic like normal because it causes respiratory depression that they didn't want to risk based on his history.  But when they got him in the tube and he woke and freaked out, the goal quickly changed to get him sedated now.
Jace's sleep test and EEG went as usual.  We won't have the results of that for a few weeks.  So grateful it's just over.  Next testing is Damon's video EEG.  We were told repeatedly this weekend, that it was good that it is scheduled, and to not cancel it.
Primary Children's staff was so sweet to us.  They had me and Damon stay in the RTU (Rapid Treatment Unit... it's between an ER and regular hospital stay) while Lincoln and Jace were in the EEG/Sleep Lab.  They brought Easter Baskets for both boys, made sure we truly had everything we needed.  And they made sure Jace and Damon knew they were important.  Not once did I get the impression they thought I was being an overprotective mother, in fact, supported us in our search for what's really going on.
I loved visiting with Steve again.  I'm so grateful for him.  I guess that's probably the blessing from the trial of not having a Primary Children's closer to us.
On our way there, I got a phone call from the therapist we left Aidan with for the weekend.  She'd accidentally given him his medicine 12 hours early.  She rushed him to the ER while we worried for his well being.  He is okay.  He looks really yellow, so I'll be watching him super close.  Poor Billie Jo felt terrible for the mistake.  I hope she's able to let go of it, because I certainly have.  Thank you so much to family for praying for Aidan.
So glad to all be home together, listening to conference!
