More ER

I lose count every year how many times Aidan is in the ER.
The common denominator in each visit is vomiting.  Which of course leads to dehydration.
I've seen traces of what looked like blood in his vomit before, but unless I'm sure the doctors don't want to hear it.  This time there was plenty of it, so I was sure.  My heart sunk.
So his daddy rushed him to the ER again.  They got the IV in and his meds down him, then started with the usual tests that annoy me, because they seem so useless.  Yes, he's dehydrated.  I knew that already.  Of course the cbc doesn't show anything, it never does...
Anyway, finally, they started looking for more.
Mostly because they finally got Aidan to admit he was in pain in a very specific spot.  His lower right side.
They found his left side shift band blood count to be high.
That, coupled with his vomiting uncontrollably, got them considering appendicitis.
His symptoms a month ago that landed him in the ER matched appendicitis and an intestinal blockage.  Now with the test showing his bone marrow is prematurely producing neutrophils, or 'baby white blood cells.'  This indicates the body is fighting of a very serious infection, or is the beginning sign of a slow growing leukemia.  Either way, I've got to get him into his primary physician for more testing.
His IV port is still in, driving him crazy.  Poor Little Man. :(
