I'm shocked Aidan's blood work came back clean enough for them to start the new med. I thought with everything going on in his weak little body, there'd be some red flag we'd have to deal with first. He is dehydrated though... frustrating we can't get a handle on that even when he's not vomiting.
Knowing that though, does mean we've got to make some changes to his daily routine.
I called the pharmacy and they already have his medicine ready for him.
So he'll be starting it tonight.
Praying it'll give him relief, not make things worse.
I'm making changes to his therapy schedule so he can spend more time at home. It's something I've really struggled with. Wanting him to have time out with others and forming relationships, but seeing his health deteriorate to the point of knowing I have to pull back and bring him home.
I'm not saying cut his therapies, but bring some home so he's not out and about so much.
It's going to be a big adjustment for all of us, including his workers, but mostly him.
I think he already knows he needs it though. Most of the week he hasn't wanted to go.
About a month ago Aidan said to me, "Mom, you're a great pharmacy!"
I'm really starting to feel like one. :/
