Though I sent several activities with Aidan for the hospital stay, the hospital provided him with a few as well. With his daddy's help on the letters, he painted a puzzle for me!
As for how he's doing, he's much better than I was when I had a spinal tap done. Thank goodness for that! He had a headache and nausea, but fortunately we still had some zofran on hand and the tylenol helped too.
Here is a picture he painted, during speech therapy last week, with those stamper things... I can't remember what they are called, but the one's with paint in a tube that has a sponge on the end like they use for bingo. Easier to deal with than a brush, because it doesn't have to be as precise.
The metabolic genetic syndrome they tested Aidan for involves low glucose in brain fluid. For more info, you can follow the links below.
We will know the results in 4-6 weeks.
I just might go crazy waiting.
If he tests positive, his brothers will be tested.
This disorder is not treatable. But at least we would know what we are fighting.
That can make a big difference.
Damon, after spitting out apple I had nicely cut up, decided he wanted to eat the apple like I do. He then ate the whole thing.
