Okay, this is a hard one.
This post has been in my heart for quite a while, and it happened again...
Friday night, when Aidan was in the ER, we were supposed to have gone over to our Home Teacher's for dinner. This is the 2nd time a dinner with them was cancelled because of Aidan's health issues. Other times it was partially planned, but not to the point of a date set. From their point of view (I imagine, I don't know) it would seem we are avoiding or putting them off. Quite the contrary. They are wonderful people.
The fact is, we haven't figured out how to do such things yet... or if it's even truly possible. The fact is, I don't want to be isolated. I keep telling myself that when the boys are older and we have better control of their health, that we'll be able to do this sort of thing again.
I'm beginning to realize that this is not going to happen, and that if I'm going to have this sort of interaction with others, I'm going to have to figure out a better way than the traditional form. I'm not sure what that is.
When Aidan was at the ER, Jace and Damon started puking everywhere.
My whole night was spent going from one mess to the next... oh how exhausted and grouchy I was!
Whether or not Aidan ever had the virus his brothers got hit with is still a mystery. He's been puking for way longer than a virus would cause, and still is, and will continue to, until they get whatever is truly causing the blockages figured out and fixed.
I'm seriously counting down the days until his next scope.
And I should add here... Damon needs that oil. He is one super duper grouchy babe without that oil. Stupid holiday putting a boulder in my way of getting more... I will not allow us to run out of that stuff again! :)
I'll have to get a video of Damon playing his harmonica. He is one seriously cute bebe, relaxed and nearly hyperventilating.
