Here is Aidan's bridge. It has a red "jewel" in the middle that touches the roof of his mouth. It is cemented in like the old ring was. But even with his special care not to eat sticky food/candy, the ring fell out several days before the appt. Hopefully this cement is stronger. ;)
So my little man now speaks with a lisp, from having a big thing in the top of his mouth. At least he can have his favorite tacos again now.
His endocrinology appt gave good news. His growth has been severely delayed, but there is still hope he will eventually catch up. We still have to make sure he's growing a minimum of 2" a year. If it drops below, we have to take him back for more testing. If it doesn't drop, we can wait to take him back when he hits adolescence. I'm all for one less Dr revisit schedule to keep track of!
Aidan is happy he didn't have any blood draws and still left with a new toy. :)
