This time, because Jacen isn't so prone to gagging like Aidan, I have been letting Jace eat teething biscuits. He loves them. But they are really messy. I don't know if you can see it very well in this video, but he's covered in brown paste... along with some chocolate. :) Jacen wants to eat as though he has a full mouth of teeth. He throws a fit when we don't share whatever we are eating, regardless of what it is. And if Aidan forgets and leaves his food within Jacen's reach, he's got it in his mouth before I even know what's going on. Aidan also feels sorry for him and tries to share, even if it's something like fries. This has been a source of great stress for me, because it seems like every time I turn around, there's food in Jacen's mouth that could hurt him. He's already had peanut butter (thanks to Aidan and his sharing) that is supposed to wait until 2 years for allergy purposes. So I'm not even risking things like honey (poisonous at this age) and keep it even from Aidan. But the peanut butter is necessary for me right now, so I can't get rid of it, or I would.
This video also shows how Jace isn't content to just be in the same room, he still expects me to be holding him. It's weird how Aidan is so independent and Jacen is the exact opposite. I think that proves that blaming it all on the parents isn't necessarily a correct assumption!
