We actually set this whole bed-tent up for Aidan when he turned 3. He loved it, but wasn't willing to sleep the night in it. Shortly after, we moved. I chose not to force it because moves are disruptive enough. Then we realized we would be moving again, blah, blah, you know the whole ordeal. Now that everyone was clearly happy to be here and settled, we made the crib to bed switch for Aidan and the glider to crib switch for Jacen. Aidan was really upset when he saw us move his bed to Jacen's room and put Jacen in it. But then when he saw us setting up his "new big boy bed with the Lightning McQueen tent," he calmed down. By the time we had the switch made, he was thrilled, and slept happily in his big boy bed.

Jacen on the other hand... not so smooth of a transition. It was a really rough night for the other three people in the house! It's a done deal though, so he'll get used to it. ;) Now if I could just convince Aidan to use the toilet. Stubborn little mule.
