Rock slide

At the Jefferson fairgrounds, there is this tall, double level, rock climbing, playground with slides, tunnels, and more rocks. The preschool bus parks near it, so Aidan was thrilled to play on the lower slides (not pictured here) when we went to preschool last Tuesday. When I asked him if he wanted to go to the higher level, he climbed up with me, but wasn't interested in sliding down on his own. I didn't push it... I'm frankly grateful he's actually using caution now because he didn't when he was younger. So I carried him (with Jacen and baby) back down. I'm sure it was a sight to see! Saturday, we went back to the park as a family and Aidan climbed right up there without hesitation on his own. The only thing that tore him away from his new found adventure was to go inspect the caboose and tank at the other end of the park.

This is the part that makes his mother nervous. :)

Jace had to get in on it. He was so mad we wouldn't let him just do it himself. His shoes won't be here until Monday... darn parents and their protecting from injuries!
