My appt with the specialist was disappointing. He says that with my allergies, he's not willing to put me on anything but Lovenox, and isn't ready to actually put me on it knowing other circumstances. So I have to "be extremely careful" with what medications I take, and pay very close attention to my symptoms. Then he focused a ton on my whole Pituitary Gland tumor thing... a large portion of the other circumstances. I voiced my annoyance that it's never been seen on an MRI, and I feel this phantom tumor probably doesn't even exist. That got him all out of sorts. Apparently my symptoms are truly "a dead giveaway" and the reason it's not shown up is, "they look too much like the surrounding tissue." So it's more that the Radiologist reading the MRI isn't seeing it, though there. Then he gave me a long lecture about how I really must, like the Endocrinologist said before, be on Cabergoline "long term." Surgery is too risky, and the drug keeps it under control. Meanwhile, blood thinners and Cabergoline don't interact well together, most create severe reactions. Very frustrating, not what I wanted to hear, all the way around.
Tomorrow is Aidan's appt...
