Aidan made a graham cracker house at therapy. Billie Jo put the structure together, then let Aidan decorate it himself. I think he did a pretty darn good job.

These gingerbread trains were what Jacen and Aidan did with us for FHE. This one is Jace's... you can tell because there is a broken piece stuck in the frosting on top. :) Have to use up every last little morsel, you know!

And here's Aidan's. The little balls all over the snow are "children cheering for Thomas." The green and orange pieces at the plow are "children" too. Yikes. Still doesn't understand safety!

Okay, before you think I'm totally cracked, this was a sensory therapy project we did yesterday. It was supposed to be Cake Balls, but we named them Christmas Rocks. :) I had Aidan pick out a cake mix and frosting jar at the store. We added vanilla ice cream and melting chocolate (just a regular hershey bar or nestle chips works great) to the cart. Once home, we baked the cake and let it cool. Then frosted it. But here's the therapy part: After washing our hands really good, we smooshed the cake and frosting in our hands until it became a well blended paste and formed "balls" like making meatballs. Then you are supposed to put them in the freezer to set up, (we had to skip this part) and then rolled them in melted chocolate, and reset in the freezer. This is actually very hard for Aidan to do. Jace just kept shoving it in his mouth, so he didn't even try to make any rocks, but he loved the smooshing and taste testing. The end result is really yummy, and the options for flavors are endless. They had a blast making such a mess. And yes, I'm still finding cake/frosting/chocolate globs to clean up. :)
