Little bit of catch up

Aidan enjoys school and excels in math.  His love of literature and acting scenes out he'd memorized so easily at such a young age, was taken away from the epilepsy.  He still loves to have stories read to him, but he cannot recite it back or paraphrase like he used to.  But he still does well with math.  I've found that I have to ask the questions a certain way to get the message across what answer is required.  It's been very challenging for me. But I'm grateful we are still accomplishing what he needs to, it just might be at a little slower pace.  I was told that he wouldn't learn to read, but I'm confident that will not hold true.  He will learn.  After I basically stopped the school curriculum phonics, and used other phonics methods, he's grasping it and is making good progress.
Sorry for the fuzzy and so far away shot. I didn't have time to get my real camera and just grabbed my phone, that does great in good lighting conditions, but anything off like too much light or not enough (like below) the photo turns out grainy.  Anyway, Damon is getting braver with his standing.  Oh, if you could see his facial expression here!... he's so proud of himself.  He stands for close to a minute on his own now.  It's not often, but hey, that's okay, he'll get there!
This photo was taken when we were getting some shopping done before the trip to AZ.

Jace is now being sent to a Metabolic Geneticist.  He also had some irregularities come up on testing his pediatrician ordered because of things I reported.  (Wow, still trying to get used to having a doctor that ACTUALLY listens!) So Aidan's MG follow up and Jace's first appt are thankfully on the same day.  I would love to get some solid answers this time.  If they can find genetic markers in just one of our boys, then they'll know what to test their brothers for.  Otherwise, it's just another shot in the dark.

I didn't take photos of them in their halloween costumes... they were PJs anyway... you'll see what I mean when I have them wear 'em again and actually take a photo this time.  We bribed them with blizzards and a new movie... I hate trick or treating. :)  They were thrilled with the new Thomas dvd and pumpkin and banana pie blizzards.
