Damon has moved up on the therapists evals from severely delayed to moderately delayed. This means he gets to have therapy two less times a month. So grateful for the early intervention for him. Wish I'd gotten it much sooner for his brothers, but I didn't know then. I have no doubt this will make a significant difference on his quality of life as a whole.
New doc appt was today. I went armed with my flash drive and prayed for the best.
Left with orders for more labs, prescription for what is referred to as a rescue med, and the plan for a new video eeg.
At this point I have to laugh.
Remember my post yesterday?
As I sat there the doc said, "the hospital just ordered this great little, brand new machine..." If I'd had a drink in my mouth it would have sprayed him. ;) So he's trying to make sure Damon's eeg is done on the brand new PORTABLE video eeg machine. :D
I was disappointed he didn't watch the videos then, because I feel like he knows seizures well enough, but he said he'd do it later.
Aidan's doing okay for the most part. He will now not only have to take a stool softener for the rest of his life, but I've also now been ordered to put him through a "clean out" dose monthly. I want to cry every time he goes to the bathroom. :(
Jace's behavior has improved a little. Okay, more like tiny bit.
His appt with the new doc is next week.
Jace's issues are this guys specialty, so if he can't help our little dude, then we're sunk I guess.
