Several major doctor appts coming up.
Well, it's official. Aidan has been having both abdominal migraines and intestinal blockages the whole time. I really don't get why a GI specialist had to tell us that, and I really don't get why it took 6yrs to be given a referral for one, but here we are, FINALLY, with some help for Aidan's vomiting. Knock on wood. I pray the meds continue to work.
He still has the upper and lower GI test ahead to check for damage done from those 6yrs of daily vomiting. Goodness knows it damaged his teeth!
As for his seizures, they aren't as prevalent as they were, but they are still not controlled as we've had it in the past. Just waiting for direction from his neurologist. I'm expecting a request for another EEG. I hate them and want someone to invent a completely portable video EEG unit. Dead serious, I mean come on people, it can totally be done. Have some empathy for these poor children! Being confined to a bed for 4-7 days with those electrodes glued to your head and chest and that super itchy cap making your head sweat... the word miserable doesn't even come close.
BTW- Jace isn't having anymore "accidents." Wooohoooo! Grateful I didn't have to wait a year for that one. Less than two months isn't too bad when you consider the payoff.
Got all my videos of Damon's seizures compiled on a flash drive for the doctor. That was hard. Not looking forward to the appt.
