Bread

Aidan wanted to help me make bread today.
Honestly this is not something I've been willing to do with the boys around.  Usually I demand everyone leave the kitchen when I'm making anything.  For several reasons like, it's too distracting for me and I goof it all up, Jace climbs the stove, Jace has no sense of danger and reaches where it's not safe, Aidan has sensory aversions with noise, none of them is good enough at fine motor things yet to just let them scoop and dump, Damon screams because he can't get right in the action, our kitchen is too small and I stumble over boys... I think I'm making myself clear. (Okay, I'll admit it, it's mostly the first one.)
Today I thought I'd risk it because bread is pretty simple once you've got your family favorite recipe down and all the kinks worked out of the whole process.
But Damon fell asleep and we didn't want to wake him.  By the time he woke, Jace was home.
So both Aidan and Jace helped me and Damon licked up the ingredients from the measuring cups and spoons.
Aidan had to stay away for the wheat grinding part.
Jace, on the other hand, loved the spinning, the grinding, the goopiness, pretty much the whole process.
I hope they taste as good as they look.  Pretty sure I got all the ingredients right... :)
