This was Aidan's Christmas giraffe, he made last week while at Speech. It looks perfect enough I'm quite sure his therapist did most of it. ;) But dang it's cute!
I tried talking Lincoln into having Christmas on Saturday, but he refused. (grouch) So we waited until after church. Was really grateful they shortened it to just Sacrament Mtg, because our boys were seriously, only reverent for the few minutes of Sacrament itself, the rest they were absolute hooligans... I hadn't even said we'd have gifts when they got home, I guess they just sensed it.
Since we had no tree until our Home teacher showed up with a tiny one we put next to the TV, there was nothing to put the gifts under. We can't do that with these guys, no tree would survive in our house, trust me. I hope someday I can again. So to keep everything orderly for Aidan's sake, I put it all in separate piles with their names.
Ignore the trash bags. :) I didn't have time or money to go get the amount of wrapping paper or gigantic gift bags needed for those quilts.
This was Jace's gift from his dda worker. Turned out to be a stuffed angry bird (I don't even play that game, so I'm assuming Jace fell in love with it at the store) and a mountain dew. He was thrilled, and I got a good laugh.
Just like last year, Aidan hated the whole idea and got really mad. He had a horrible morning filled with seizures and was not at all himself. But we made him go play trains with his brothers while I set it up anyway... I knew with the way I set it up, once he saw, he'd relax.
And he did. ;)
Lincoln and I laughed ourselves silly when one of Damon's gifts turned out to be this ball.
He'll have a great time for a few days!
And this was clearly Damon's favorite.
At church, beforehand.
Thank you so very much, to those who made us having gifts for the boys possible. It was an amazing Christmas for many reasons... but mostly, seeing the genuine love people have in our family and ward family.
We'd been trying to figure out how we'd purchase the sheetrock for the therapy room... and yesterday we ended up with enough. Another huge blessing at the hands of our loved ones.
