Jace's MRI

This was Jace before anything really happened.  He knew he was in for it so he was pretty tense. :)
I wish I could say this was a good experience.  As for the staff and their willingness to help, and calm sweet attitude, it was.  The nurse in charge of his sedation was great too.  But it still didn't work like we needed it to.
Jace kept telling EVERYONE, "My name is Jacen Lear, and I'm hungry."
Fasting is really not Jace's thing. ;)
This is Jace after the nasal Versed. lol  Not happy about that spray at all!
Because he's been having such difficulty breathing they were not comfortable sedating him either generally or heavily.  He's always had general sedation for his mris before this.  It was obvious this was not going to be worth the risk this time.  So they started pretty low and waited to see if he'd sleep.  His night before had been really rough with breathing issues, seizures, and soiling himself.  So the sedation was enough.  But then his heart rate and blood pressure kept dropping.  So they cut the mri short.
Which really makes me wonder if it was all for nothing, and did they get enough images to truly see if he's having mini strokes?  So frustrating.
Then he wouldn't wake.  They should wake right away and easily, like about 10mins from being brought to the recovery room.  But he didn't.  And it was so difficult to wake him that it then turned into a long very exhausting fight.  They allowed me to leave with him without him having eaten or had a drink, because he was completely not responding to anyone, just screaming super loud.  And continued to ALL the way to the burb and out of town, until he passed out again.
Thankfully when I tried waking him again for food in Layton, he cooperated.
Now Damon is sick with a fever, and I'm praying his bros don't get it. Overheating issues galore.
So glad to be home.
