Damon is obsessed with socks and stripes.
His off choice of socks illustrates my own feelings lately. I've had several blackouts/losses of time or consciousness and have been SO off balance... among some other symptoms that are so much like the boys' it's really frightening for me. Not dizzy, not vertigo, just really really off balance. Shopping on Saturday morning was cut short because of it, I kept feeling like I was going to hit the floor. Something I've experienced before, but this has been the most intense so far. This, after biting a big chunk of cheek with no memory... during the afternoon. So far I've managed to limit episodes like this to night time. So last week we quickly made drastic moves to ensure the boys safety. Meanwhile, the muscle spasms have hit my throat hard again. To say I'm tired is such an understatement. lol But I'm really grateful I was warned before needing to drive and able to make those changes!!
The confusion and brain fog has probably frustrated me the most though. Not being able to process things as fast I used to is really taking a toll on my confidence as it worsens. I've really pulled back from communication situations because of it, had many embarrassing moments, and seriously considered just closing a few things up like this blog. But for now, I'll keep it going.
Damon is turning 3 this week.
He's doing so well, and might end up losing his therapies because of it. This would be a huge mistake, knowing what we do from his drs and his older brothers. But we can only do so much with what our local lawmakers have changed.
Regardless, I'm grateful for his current progress, and love him forever!
