Hyper, waiting to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
Already struggling, zoning out while waiting.
Bored and wishing I'd hold him.
Because of cookout safety issues, (not understanding cause and effect creates much bigger issues with typical family holiday activities) I expected the boys to take turns. Damon and Jace had difficulty accepting this and had meltdowns. I felt is was better to endure meltdowns vs another trip to the ER. ;)
Aidan, on the other hand, was calm. He used his ice pack, mister, and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing while not overheating and seizing. If nothing else had been accomplished, that would have been enough right there.
He even ate all of that but a bit of the bun.
;) Yes, I had to cook it more inside. This, again, was to give them the experience without it being too much. Next time, hopefully we can up it a notch.
We enjoyed smores afterward... Sorry I don't have pics of that...
Uncle Steve came to visit as well. It was all I could do to keep the boys and dog all happy while talking with Steve, I couldn't handle the camera too. :)
So grateful we got the chance to see him again.
Aidan took full advantage and enjoyed Steve's company so much, he crashed way early.
I'm completely pooped.
