Christmas Project

After this past Christmas, having done little one gift visits to EIRMC and PCMC PICUs, I knew I needed to do more, and something very different.
So I contacted a lady in FL to design handmade teddy bears on Aidan's behalf.
This is what she came up with, and we couldn't be happier.

They are soooo soft, have moveable legs and arms, and say, "Love Aidan" on their feet because they are coming from him.
Damon loves ours.

The photo on the left is Aidan with Damon when Damon was a baby. The bond between these two runs so deep.
So this coming Christmas we will drop off some to both hospitals. Hoping and praying for the ability to donate many! Aidan was critically ill, and stuck in the PICU during the holidays... we know all to well how miserable it is for kids not able to be home and with their families.

Here is more info about them:

Dear Rachel, thank you for allowing me to read the words of your heart and to be part of your life. I love you dearly and am honored to be your friend. Your thoughts on marriage and motherhood and sickness and advocacy and death are profound. I learn much from you every single time I read them.

I want you to know that when I ask "how are you?" I absolutely want to know the whole truth and I have the time to listen and the compassion to understand.

My brain is swimming with ideas for a non-profit foundation in Aidan's honor to spread love, support, and real monetary support to others. I will keep pondering and see if i can come up with a successful plan.
