Swing set, mister... and canopy?

Grandma and Grandpa Weber made this possible for Aidan.
The Rexburg Walmart also had a hand in it. :)
With two of Aidan's meds having a major interaction, being at the park is no longer medically safe for him.  All parks play areas around here are in full sun.  We need an area he can play in shade.

So we put up a swing set here where we already have partial shade.  And are working on the canopy to increase the amount of shade.
I mentioned already, Aidan has a water mister for the hot days... he's already used it several days, even with this screwy back and forth weather.

I'm really happy with this swing set.  It's not the kind that will last forever, but it's got this great disc swing that mimics a therapy swing.

For some reason I didn't get a photo of Damon's swing... we took one of these basic swings off and put on the swing we got for inside.  It works great for Damon!

This horse thing isn't bad.  There is also a teeter totter style swing.
Daddy put the slide up, but then removed it... the claim was it was on the wrong side, but I think he just doesn't want it up at all.  He said several times, "the slide inside is way better." :)

Of course the sandbox is near too.
The neighbor kids kept staring and even tried to climb over the fence...
They have nothing so interesting in their grandparent's backyard.
This ought to be interesting.

Now we are in search of an adaptive stroller for Aidan.
Walking, something that he's always loved to do, is now causing major seizure increase as well as contributing to heat stroke and dehydration.  It's just plain been a crazy bear, keeping him okay.
I found this stroller that fits him like a glove, so it won't last past this summer.  But at least I have a short term solution.  It was cheap enough it was completely worth it to get him by.

I really struggled with this.  The last thing I want to do is hasten his dependence on such things.  But it's become clear he needs this... allowing him to continue having major seizure increases, when there is something I can do about it, is worse.

Your backyard looks fun! You've definitely been busy. That adaptive stroller looks great. I'm so sorry to hear that Aidan is having major seizure increase. Prayers are with Aidan and the family.
Love you! Elle
